HOW TO WRITE A BOOK REPORT- 1º BACHILLERATO
A good book report describes, analyzes and evaluates. Also, it conveys an opinion about the book.
When writing a book report, there are some poits that you shouldn't miss:
Title
Author
Genre (adventure, psychological drama, romance, science fiction, thriller)
Publisher
Level (elementary, intermediate, advanced)
Brief summary of the plot
Personal opinion
Avoid using adjectives such as ‘interesting’, ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Below you have a list of adjectives/expressions you can use:
ELEMENTARY: amusing, boring, brilliant, enjoyable, exciting, funny, great, romantic, simple.
INTERMEDIATE: dull, entertaining, hilarious, moving, predictable, remarkable, shocking, surprising, tragic, unpredictable, violent.
ADVANCED: a cliffhanger, blackly funny, bland, breathtaking, deeply moving, dull, gripping, hard-hitting, heart warming, noteworthy, outstanding, overwhelming, tear jerker, violence packed
Here are some questions which may help you build up your report:
1 What was the story about?
2 Who were the main characters?
3 Were the characters credible?
4 What did the main characters do in the story?
5 Did the main characters run into any problems? Adventures?
6 Who was your favorite character? Why?
7 Could you relate to any of the characters in the story?
8 Have you ever done or felt some of the things, the characters did?
9 What was your favorite part of the book?
10 Do you have a least favorite part of the book?
11 Would you recommend this book to another person?
Try to be clear, accurate and entertaining.

Reduce circumference of thighs by 3 inches1 (i.e. 1½ inches each), using anti-cellulite diet.

Improve career and find new job with potential.
Save up money in form of savings. Poss start pension also.
10 Be more confident.
Be more assertive.
Make better use of time.
Not go out every night but stay in and read books and listen to classical music.
15 Give proportion of earnings to charity.
Be kinder and help others more. Eat more pulses.
Get up straight away when wake up in mornings.
Go to gym three times a week not merely to buy sandwich.
20 Put photographs in photograph albums.
Make up a compilation ‘mood’ tapes so can have tapes ready with all favourite romantic/dancing/rousing/feminist etc. tracks assem-bled instead of turning into drink-sodden DJ-style person with tapes scattered all over the floor
25 Form functional relationship with responsible adult.
Learn to programme video.
